Job summary

Mars, Incorporated is seeking a Quality Systems and Food Safety Sr. Specialist to provide leadership for the site and network in developing, implementing, and improving QFS programs ensuring products are safe and compliant with regulatory requirements.

You will back up the QFS Manager, lead investigations, and drive continuous improvement. You will partner with engineering, R&D and other stakeholders to ensure safe product changes, lead training programs, and govern HACCP and related plans.

Qualifications

• BS in Chemistry, Food Science, Food Safety, Engineering or related technical field.
• 3 years of food manufacturing experience in a role related to food safety or Quality and Food Safety Management System, or 5+ years in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead incident investigations and risk analysis with recommendations for resolutions.
• Lead implementation of Global Quality and Food Safety Standards for compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Oversee site quality and food safety management reviews and identify improvement opportunities.
• Develop and roll out food safety training (HACCP, Basic Food Safety).
• Govern HACCP and Food Safety Plan within the site and validate CCP/OPRP preventive controls.
