Aquatic Capital is seeking a Network Engineer to design, build, and own the firm’s production trading, research, and corporate networks from Chicago, New York, or London. You will work with Infrastructure, Research, and Engineering teams on high‑leverage, hands‑on networking projects.

The role emphasizes low‑latency trading networks, data distribution, and scalable designs with a strong bias for automation and reliability. Strong finance networking background is preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional networking experience, with finance exposure.
• Experience with FinTech or HFT networking and multicast networks.
• Knowledge of networking merchant silicon tradeoffs.
• Basic Linux system administration.
• Familiarity with IaC tools like Git, Terraform, Ansible.

Responsibilities

• Own networks across Research/HPC, Corporate/Office, and Production Trading.
• Design, build, and maintain low-latency production trading networks and market data distribution.
• Scale Research/HPC networks supporting GPU grid and storage clusters.
• Extend network footprint into new regions with repeatable designs.
• Own network monitoring, packet capture, and change management as code.
