The Global Financial Crimes Manager assists Global Financial Crimes executives and managers in identification, escalation, and timely mitigation of compliance and operational risks in alignment with the Compliance and Operational Risk Management (CORM) Program, the Financial Crimes and Global Compliance Enterprise Policies (GC Policy), and the Enterprise Fraud Risk Management Policy.

The Global Financial Crimes Data Manager assists Global Financial Crimes executives and managers in the following activities:

  1. Create and maintain a regulatory inventory.
  2. Update relevant policies to ensure they reflect regulatory requirements for Financial Crimes.
  3. Conduct risk assessments, scenario analysis, and ops loss analysis.
  4. Contribute to monitoring and testing coverage plans and related metrics.
  5. Contribute to the identification, collection, validation, and recording of internal loss events and “near misses.”
  6. Contribute to root cause analyses on internal loss events and develop remediation plans to strengthen controls.
  7. Contribute to identification, review, and documentation of relevant external loss events.
  8. Monitor and test the effectiveness of the front line unit and control function compliance and operational risk controls.
  9. Execute governance and management routines.
  10. Identify, report, and escalate compliance and operational risks, issues, and control enhancements.
  11. Identify compliance and operational risk training needs and inspect Front Line Unit (FLU), Control Function (CF), and third-party participation for Financial Crimes.
  12. Assist with preparations for and participate in regulatory exams and audits for Financial Crimes.
  13. Inspect that commitments made regarding actions in response to Matters Requiring Attention (MRAs) and other actions are completed.
  14. Escalate regulatory relations concerns to GFC Compliance Manager or Executive.

Responsibilities:

  • Advises and directs the development and maintenance of financial crimes owned policies and standards.
  • Produces and/or oversees independent financial crimes risk management reporting to Global Compliance & Operational Risk (GC&OR) Senior Leaders.
  • Monitors changes in regulations applicable to Global Financial Crimes.
  • Participates in industry forums and monitors regulatory expectations.
  • Escalates financial crimes-related compliance and operational risks to appropriate governance routines.
  • Identifies, aggregates, reports, escalates, inspects, and challenges the remediation of FLU/CF-owned issues related to financial crimes.
  • Reviews and challenges internal and external operational loss events.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of seven years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in data science.
  • Knowledge of anti-money laundering (AML) and related AML legislation.
  • Self-motivated worker who is comfortable and effective working with varying levels of guidance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products including advanced knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience with proprietary BofA ADS environments, such as THOR and BaseView.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
  • Experience in financial services and/or a related government entity.
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).

Pay Transparency details:

Pay range: $103,000.00 - $165,300.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education, and skill set.

This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
