Job summary

Remitly seeks an experienced senior leader in Financial Crimes to own the center of excellence for detecting and mitigating high-risk typologies. You will guide global intelligence, establish external partnerships with law enforcement and FIUs, and drive reporting and governance across the organization.

You will build a scalable threat intelligence program, define analytic tradecraft, and partner with Legal, Risk, and Product teams to embed durable controls. Hybrid onsite work is expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in financial crime, including leadership roles
• Direct experience with law enforcement, FIUs, and public-private partnerships
• Ability to translate intelligence into detection logic and work with data science and engineering
• Executive communication skills capable of briefing boards and agents
• Experience building a specialist intelligence capability within a financial crimes program

Responsibilities

• Own high-risk financial crime typologies and indicators across corridors, products, and channels.
• Define scenarios and model features to detect typologies missed by current controls.
• Lead strategic investigations and refer findings to business units for action.
• Engage law enforcement and FIUs, building trusted public-private partnerships.
• Deliver concise intelligence briefings to senior leadership and the board.
