Job summary

IOM - UN Migration in Washington, DC seeks a Finance Officer to manage financial resources for the Global Office, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and efficient cash management.

The role requires a Master’s in Accounting/Finance with 5+ years of experience, or a Bachelor’s with 7 years, plus professional certification such as CA/CPA/CIMA/ACCA being advantageous. You will oversee budgeting, payroll, donor reports, and financial analysis while training staff.

Qualifications

• Master's in Accounting/Finance or related field with five years' experience; or a Bachelor's with seven years' experience.
• Professional certification (CA/CPA/CIMA/ACCA) is an advantage.
• Experience in accounting, financial management and reporting; donor-funded projects a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee financial management of all activities and expenditures.
• Forecast cash flows and ensure daily control of funds disbursed.
• Prepare, analyse and provide financial data to management for improvements.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, policies and procedures.
• Provide training to finance staff in finance and administration.
• Prepare donor financial reports in line with donor regulations.
