Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing seeks a hands-on Field Service Technician to travel extensively, commissioning and servicing packaged systems for data centers, power generation, and industrial utilities. You will diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control systems on projects across the country and internationally.

The role requires strong problem-solving skills, independence, and a willingness to travel 80% with safety certifications in OSHA 10 and NFPA 70E.

Qualifications

• Extensive field experience in construction support and equipment startup.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience commissioning mechanical equipment and electrical systems.
• Ability to read drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
• Willingness to travel ~80% to domestic and international sites.
• Ability to obtain OSHA 10 and NFPA 70E safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Direct and document field commissioning of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Perform startup, troubleshooting, repair, retrofit, and preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, controls, and computer-related issues.
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and control documentation.
• Coordinate project handoffs from construction to commissioning and service.
