Job summary

Voith Group is seeking a Global Category Manager (m/f/d) for Field Service to lead worldwide procurement strategy and supplier relations. The role oversees a global category with roughly €50 million in annual sales and guides a team of regional category managers to optimize costs, supplier performance, and CSR-aligned outcomes.

The successful candidate will negotiate contracts, drive cross-functional collaboration, and ensure alignment with Voith's CSR objectives while traveling internationally

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration, supply chain management, mechanical engineering or a comparable field.
• 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management, or global procurement.
• Proficiency with SAP, PurOne and other digital sourcing platforms.
• CIPS or CPSM certifications are advantageous.
• Fluency in English and willingness to travel 30–50% worldwide.
• Based in São Paulo, St. Pölten or Shanghai and able to work across regions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a global procurement strategy for Field Service category.
• Lead a global category management team across regions (3–5 regional managers).
• Drive cost optimization, supplier innovation, risk management, and value creation globally.
• Manage the global supplier base for the category in offers and project execution.
• Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and risk-sharing mechanisms; manage the global contract portfolio.
