Job summary

Northwood Space is seeking an experienced on-site specialist to deploy and maintain ground sites worldwide. You’ll independently install, test, and repair ground station hardware, and represent Northwood professionally as our on-site subject matter expert while working away from the factory.

Responsibilities include leading local contractor crews, integrating antenna assemblies, equipment racks, cabling, motors and power distribution, and commissioning installations with field tests and issue

Qualifications

• At least five years installing, testing or servicing complex electromechanical systems.
• Experience directing contractors or technicians.
• Willingness to travel 50–75% including remote/international sites.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Deploy new sites independently, leading local contractor crews through installation.
• Install and integrate site hardware: antenna assemblies, racks, cabling, motors, power distribution.
• Commission installations: inspect, power up, test, verify operation and fix issues before handoff.
• Maintain deployed sites and resolve field issues with test equipment and documentation.
• Escalate safety, design, or scope concerns when needed and document field findings.
