Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI seeks a Lead Global Fastening Tooling professional to own standards for North American Final Assembly facilities. You will lead project strategy from development to PO issuance, define tooling standards, and align program costing while vetting new technologies and vendors.

Responsibilities include collaboration across functions to improve standards, support Tooling technology deployments, and ensure compliant torque strategies and audits across launches.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent education/experience.
  • Self-motivated, organized, hands-on, and collaborative.
  • Willingness to travel and interface with North American Manufacturing Plants.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and communication ability.
  • Experience with fastening equipment or joint design strategy (preferred).
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Lead global fastening tooling standards for Ford NA Final Assembly facilities.
  • Lead program-specific fastening projects and strategy from development through PO issuance.
  • Execute fastening strategy with North American Final Assembly plants through delivery and implementation.
  • Define, maintain, and update fastening tooling standards.
  • Develop and align program costing.
  • Investigate and vet new fastening technologies and vendors.
  • Develop Global Manufacturing Fastening Standards, Teamcenter library, and GVOSS updates.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on PAC papers and Stop Ships to improve standards and reduce warranty costs.
  • Support wireless tooling technology implementations and torque-monitoring initiatives.
  • Drive cost studies for residual torque equipment and tool tracking.
