Job summary

Continental Resources, Inc. in Oklahoma City is seeking an experienced facilities engineer to deliver engineering support for the Facilities Operations team.

You will design and execute single-well and multi-well oil and gas production facilities, manage contractor interactions, and perform economic evaluations and cost tracking throughout construction and commissioning. The role requires proficiency in process design, PFDs/PIDs, and industry standards, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, or related Engineering field from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience designing chemical process systems and/or managing the execution of engineering projects.
• Facilities construction and/or experience in production operations.
• Proficiency in hydraulic analysis, equipment sizing/design, and process system design.
• Ability to travel as needed and pass pre-employment background and drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage execution of single-well and multi-well oil and gas production facilities.
• Direct and collaborate with internal and external parties to design, procure, and install oil and gas handling systems.
• Design of oil and gas process systems including piping, equipment, materials, instrumentation, and controls.
• Evaluate capacities and constraints of existing equipment and piping systems.
• Interface with technical, managerial, and regulatory personnel to construct new facilities or improve existing ones.
• Prepare construction standards and operating guidelines for facilities.
• Develop cost estimates and AFEs for facilities projects.
• Track progress and cost throughout the construction process.
• Collaborate in a team environment to develop assets cost-effectively.
• Review expenditures for facilities and infrastructure within a specified area.
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on equipment and process failures.
• Generate/review engineering documents such as PFDs, PIDs, MS, BOMs, and Piping Plans.
• Select and prepare datasheets and recommendations for new facilities equipment.
• Ensure compliance with government requirements and Company policies.
