Job summary

BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager, Global External Manufacturing, to drive end-to-end project delivery across the GEO site portfolio and the external manufacturing network in a highly regulated biopharma environment.

You will independently build integrated schedules, coordinate with CMOs and internal partners, govern risk and scope, and translate technical inputs into actionable plans that enable timely product introductions and continuous improvement across GEO.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management within a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment.
• Experience independently building and managing complex project schedules with cross-functional and external dependencies.
• Experience delivering or supporting technical transfers, validations, engineering changes, or portfolio projects.
• Experience in external/contract manufacturing is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Science, Business, or Information Systems.
• PMP certification preferred; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project delivery across GEO site portfolio and external manufacturing network.
• Build and maintain integrated project schedules with MS Project or equivalent.
• Coordinate with CMOs and internal teams for on-time execution and validation.
• Govern documentation, RAID logs, decision logs, and governance artifacts.
• Provide concise, decision-focused updates to leadership; support governance forums.
• Drive continuous improvement and apply PMO standards across GEO.
