Job summary

Waymo is seeking a Senior Program Manager for International Expansion to lead country-entry initiatives and build scalable structures across product, engineering, operations, and policy. You will drive cross-functional programs, coordinate external engagements, and manage risk while aligning with senior leadership on progress and blockers.

The role requires 7+ years of experience in complex programs, strong leadership, and exceptional communication skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience managing highly complex cross-functional programs.
• Experience driving international expansion programs with market-entry functions (Product, Engineering, Operations, Legal, Policy, External Engagement).
• Strong leadership and written/verbal communication; ability to navigate ambiguity and drive decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead international expansion programs, building robust, scalable structures for new countries.
• Drive and own critical path for cross-functional activities (vehicle, software, regulatory, policy, external engagement, partner readiness).
• Orchestrate deliverables across internal and external teams, improving workflows and processes where needed.
• Proactively identify and remove business-critical risks and dependencies.
• Keep stakeholders informed and aligned, represent programs to senior leadership and escalate blockers when needed.
