Job description

The role is accountable in providing strategic and operational support to the Head of Global Event Marketing Americas and the cluster senior leadership team to facilitate decision-making and to help meet the group's business objectives. Includes deliver and coordinate key business office functions for Global Event Marketing, including creating business proposals and presentations, coordination of cluster deliverables and packaging them into global reports and summaries, project management, tracking of key initiatives, management routines and oversight of policies and procedures.

Global Event Marketing (GEM) provides innovative event strategies and management solutions across geographies and businesses at Citi. Our team of dedicated professionals and skilled event managers partner with Citi's businesses and functions to create, plan and execute events and roadshows that drive business goals while optimizing expenses, based on the strategy and content determined by the business.

This position reports to the Head of Global Event Marketing Americas and will be responsible for supporting following for GEM:

  • Business office management, including strategic initiatives, learning and development program, financial performance, communications and project management
  • Restricted commodity governance control
  • Stakeholder engagement
  • Risk and control reporting

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Manage and create GEM Americas deliverables such as goals, accomplishments and strategic deliverables to align with Citi and ESPA/CCS goals.
  • Oversee and centrally track progress on key GEM initiatives such as sustainability, intranet copy, employee and non-employee trainings to ensure data consistency.
  • Develop and coordinate presentations of key initiatives and other management communications, including materials used to present information to internal clients, C-suite executives, senior managements and or Citi business partners.
  • Manage GEM cluster team routines including preparing agenda and content for regular management meetings and deliverables to provide structure and address accountability.
  • Spearhead ad hoc projects to support the GEM Americas head related to governance, budget/expenses, productivity, reporting, communications, HR, risk and control, etc.
  • Contribute to regular updates, information, execution status, and deliverables for short, mid, and long-term goals.
  • Ensure effective communication of all activities through weekly highlights and senior leadership team meetings to bring consistency and standardization across the larger team.
  • Oversee department's communication templates and strategy to ensure it's standardized, consistent and aligned with Citi's Brand Central guidelines.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5-8 years of experience in Event Marketing or Hospitality Industry ideally within financial /corporate industry.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle projects that have long and short lead times.
  • Excellent relationship management skills with proven success in being people focused.
  • Excellent communication skills and broad knowledge of financial services products and environment.
  • Collaborative work style with the ability to effectively interact with partners across organizational boundaries, hierarchies and geographies.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish


EDUCATION

  • Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience

Located in Citi hubs, the CCS teams provide solutions for our business partners with a global mindset executed locally.

The role will require a high degree of flexibility due to its dynamic nature and scope of operations across different regional time zones, for the purpose of implementing service and process change initiatives this may be required on a short notice basis.

The role requires an experienced, clear thinking, innovative and self-motivated organized individual, who can deliver high quality solutions with accountability in a very demanding and constantly changing environment. The ability to multitask and support remote teams and/or functions is crucial to the role's success.
