Job summary

OpenAI is seeking an experienced Manager, Global Equity Administration to run our global equity programs with a focus on scalable processes, auditable controls, and reliable systems. You’ll be hands-on in day-to-day equity administration and help improve operations as we scale.

You will report to the Head of Equity Administration and collaborate with Legal, Equity Programs, Compensation, Tax, Payroll, and Finance to ensure accurate, timely, and employee-friendly equity operations in a hybrid SF

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive equity administration experience in a high-growth environment.
• Strong working knowledge of equity administration platforms (Shareworks preferred) including reporting workflows.
• Ability to operate with precision and urgency in time-sensitive processes.
• Comfort working with HRIS, payroll, and accounting/reporting partners.
• Advanced Excel and reporting/analytics proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end employee equity administration across grants, vesting, and related transactions.
• Manage timelines, checklists, stakeholder inputs, and issue resolution.
• Produce audit-ready equity reporting and support accounting, compliance, and reporting needs.
• Build automated reporting, dashboards, and reconciliations to improve speed and accuracy.
• Support equity system operations (Shareworks or comparable) incl. config updates and permissions.
• Maintain process documentation and ensure controls are followed consistently.
• Coordinate operational steps for new programs and liquidity events.
