Job summary

Intuitive Surgical, Inc. is seeking a senior professional to manage the Environmental Management System, delivering projects on Restricted/Regulated Substances, Battery, and Packaging programs while building tools and reports for regional teams.

You will ensure regulatory conformance across global directives including RoHS, WEEE, REACH, Prop 65, and Conflict Minerals, collaborating with regulatory, product and supply chain teams to mitigate risks and drive compliant outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
• Data management, database creation, or data and information modeling.
• Deep understanding of product compliance regulations in regulated industry required.
• Ability to manage multiple objectives and priorities concurrently.
• Familiarity with SAP and Agile PLM.
• Exceptional knowledge of global Environmental Compliance Directives, Regulations and Standards including EU RoHS, Packaging, Battery, WEEE, REACH, Prop 65 and Conflict Minerals.
• Experience analyzing compliance data to verify accuracy.
• Product, supply chain, and design control in a medical device manufacturer (BOM, COTS, Custom, ASL, AML, etc...).
• Translating regulatory documents to extrapolate business requirements and or product requirements.

Responsibilities

• Partner cross functionally with regional regulatory teams and Product Operations to design programs per regulatory requirements.
• Manage execution of the Regulated Materials process ensuring compliance with identified regulations/directives.
• Ensure products and parts are scoped appropriately.
• Collaborate across the organization to drive conformance and compliance.
• Provide support to other departments to accomplish goals.
• Ensure process compliance to applicable regulations, directives, and standards (e.g., PPWR, Batteries, WEEE).
• Drive maturity of Extended Producer Responsibility Process.
• Monitor compliance to applicable regulations/directives.
• Define strategies to mitigate compliance issues with cross functional teams.
• Create defensible, documented compliance packages.
