Job summary

WHOOP is seeking a Senior Global Environmental Compliance Specialist to lead the company’s environmental product compliance strategy and execution across global markets. You will own regulatory reporting, documentation, and alignment with cross‑functional teams from concept to end of life, ensuring rapid access to worldwide markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science required.
• At least 5 years of global environmental compliance experience for consumer electronics, wearables, or hardware.
• Strong knowledge of RoHS, REACH, TSCA, California Prop. 65, SCIP, POPs, battery and packaging rules.
• Experience managing compliance data, documentation, and regulatory reporting using systems such as Greensoft.
• Ability to translate complex regulations into practical engineering/operational requirements.
• Experience partnering across Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality and Legal.

Responsibilities

• Ensure products meet environmental compliance standards in global markets (RoHS, REACH, Prop. 65, SCIP, POPs, battery, packaging).
• Lead regulatory reporting and data submissions for global markets.
• Collaborate with Hardware, Operations and cross-functional teams throughout product development lifecycle.
• Coordinate with Global Supply Management and suppliers to collect compliance documentation.
• Monitor regulatory landscape and provide actionable recommendations.
• Develop and improve compliance processes and documentation at scale.
• Manage environmental compliance data in compliance management systems and seek automation improvements.
• Develop and maintain bio-compatibility testing standards for wearable products.
• Address Extended Producer Responsibility obligations (WEEE, Battery, Packaging) globally.
• Support sustainability programs and voluntary environmental standards.
