Job summary

Oracle is seeking a proactive Operations Analyst to partner with our Global OCI Engineering team. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, operations, and business performance, enabling scalable infrastructure growth and data-driven decisions.

You will support capacity tracking, consumption analysis, and performance insights, while helping leadership align demand with evolving priorities and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years in business or engineering operations, preferably in cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong planning, resource modeling, and utilization analysis.
  • Experience with hiring planning, workforce analytics, and capacity forecasting.
  • Ability to translate complex data into executive-level insights and presentations.
  • Advanced Excel modeling and scenario analysis skills.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Oracle Analytics or similar).
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration with leadership.
  • Familiarity with hyperscale cloud platforms or large-scale infra is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design and define program scope, objectives, and success criteria in alignment with roadmaps, scaling priorities, and business goals.
  • Support engineering hiring and planning, including headcount modeling and forecasting to ensure teams are resourced to meet growth targets.
  • Develop and deliver daily consumption reporting with visibility into usage patterns and KPIs for leadership.
  • Proactively identify bottlenecks and provide data-driven recommendations to improve performance.
  • Drive adoption of tools, processes, and reporting standards to improve visibility into engineering operations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Sales, and partner teams to align infrastructure planning with demand signals.

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and innovative Operations Analyst to partner with our Global OCI Engineering team. This role operates at the intersection of engineering, operations, and business performance, focusing on enabling scalable infrastructure growth, optimizing capacity, and supporting data‑driven decision‑making across technical and commercial priorities.

The ideal candidate brings a balance of operational rigor, technical curiosity, and business acumen. Success requires agility, strategic thinking, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, evolving environment. You will play a critical role in supporting engineering teams through capacity and resource tracking, consumption analysis, and performance insights, while helping leadership align with evolving demand.

Responsibilities
  • Design and define program scope, objectives, and success criteria in alignment with engineering roadmaps, scaling priorities, and overall business goals. Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations to ensure efficient program execution.
  • Support engineering hiring and planning, including headcount modeling, skills alignment, and workforce forecasting to ensure teams are resourced effectively to meet growth and delivery targets.
  • Develop and deliver daily consumption reporting, providing visibility into usage patterns, infrastructure demand, and key performance indicators to support both engineering and leadership decision‑making.
  • Proactively identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and scaling risks, and provide data‑driven recommendations to improve infrastructure performance and operational effectiveness.
  • Drive adoption of tools, processes, and reporting standards that improve visibility into engineering operations, planning, and consumption metrics.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Engineering, Operations, Sales, and partner teams to align infrastructure planning with demand signals, strategic initiatives, and evolving business priorities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in business operations or engineering operations, preferably in cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of planning and resource modeling, infrastructure utilization, and consumption‑based environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, AI/ML environments, or large‑scale distributed systems is highly preferred.
  • Experience supporting teams with hiring planning, workforce analytics, and resource allocation strategies.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical data into clear, executive‑level insights and presentations.
  • Advanced analytical and modeling skills, including Excel‑based modeling and scenario analysis.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Oracle Analytics or similar) to build impactful dashboards and reports.
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel modeling skills.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, partnering effectively across technical and non‑technical stakeholders, including executive leadership.
  • Strong problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities, focused on driving measurable business impact.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with hyperscale cloud platforms or large‑scale infrastructure solutions.
  • Familiarity with AI, machine learning, or high‑performance computing workloads.
