Job summary

Leica Biosystems, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Global Engineer, Enterprise Solutions to support Leica portfolio and Enterprise Solutions projects. You will consult with R&D, customers and IT globally to increase client readiness for digital pathology and streamline implementation in healthcare settings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Engineering, or CS or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of IHC, Histology, Pathology marketplace.
  • Experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining digital pathology instruments and software.
  • Ability to discuss network, system resource, and security requirements with customer IT managers.
  • Experience installing/upgrading clients/servers and peripherals (network interfaces, firewalls, barcode readers, printers).

Responsibilities

  • Provide escalated technical support to internal teams and external clients, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, or connectivity issues.
  • Collaborate with R&D, product management, and IT teams to influence product implementation and integration.
  • Respond to security events and assist in remediation of cyber security incidents.
  • Lead resolution of complex issues and projects requiring deep analysis across application and integration areas.

Global Engineer, Enterprise Solutions is responsible for supporting Leica sales goals for the Leica portfolio and Enterprise Solutions projects. By consulting with R&D, customers and their IT resources globally, this role will help increase client readiness for digital pathology and leverage tools to decrease the time it takes to implement our solutions into healthcare settings. The Global Engineer will provide advanced technical service and high-level support on equipment and software within the company.

This position reports to the Global Director, Enterprise Solutions and is part of the Enterprise Solutions team located in North America. It is a fully REMOTE position located anywhere in the U.S., but covering global regions.

In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
  • Provide escalated technical support to internal teams and external clients including installation support, maintenance and repair on hardware and software.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, or connectivity issues.
  • Work closely with various multi-functional teams throughout organization to influence product Implementation, Integration and improve solution including the BU R&D teams and product management.
  • Respond to security related events and assist in remediation efforts of cyber security incidents (system and/or network breaches, malware attacks)
  • Lead the resolution of complex and challenging technical issues and projects requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas of Application, Integration and delivering solutions that are require creativity, innovation, advanced analytical thinking
The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include
  • Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of IHC, Histology, Pathology marketplace or a related discipline.
  • Proven knowledge & experience of the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of digital pathology instruments and software.
  • Proven ability to discuss required network, system resources and security requirements with customer IT managers
  • Working knowledge on installing and upgrading clients / servers in addition to installing additional peripherals such as network interfaces, firewalls, barcode readers, printers etc.
Travel Requirements
  • This position requires up to 20% flying and/or driving travel, which may include overnight stays. Travel will primarily be domestic but may occasionally be international.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • Understanding of anatomic pathology or experience in medical lab environment preferred
  • Knowledge of the diagnosis, repair and maintenance of Leica Biosystems Pathology instruments and software preferred
  • Preferred technical certification relative to Networking or Security

The annual salary range for this role is $130,000.00-$150,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
