Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Greensboro is seeking a Graduate Assistant for International Students and Scholars (ISSS) to support the Global Engagement Office. The GA will assist with immigration document collection, tracking applications, and serving as a first point of contact for students and scholars.

This role offers exposure to international programming, advisor shadowing, and opportunities to participate in workshops and conferences, with occasional evenings and weekend duties

Qualifications

Active UNCG graduate student enrolled full‑time.
Make satisfactory progress toward degree as defined by program and Graduate School.
Meet requirements to be eligible for employment in the U.S.
Willing to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Assisting in collection, preparation, and review of immigration documents using email, Slate System, and Terra Dotta Case Management System.
Assisting with tracking status of applications to support staff in timely communication to admitted students.
Serve as the first point of contact for international students and scholars visiting the Global Engagement office.
Support in cultural programming including International Education Week, ISSS workshops, and orientation.
