Job summary

Talkdesk is seeking a United States-based Employment Lawyer to join our growing legal team. This role will advise on hiring, performance management, terminations, wage and hour, privacy, and related labor matters across geographies, while managing litigation and supervising outside counsel.

You will help shape policies and training for global operations and collaborate with internal partners to drive compliant business practices.

Qualifications

• Law degree required and current license to practice in California or Washington State.
• Minimum of 5 years law firm or equivalent in-house experience.
• Demonstrated experience in international employment law.
• Superior writing and presentation skills.
• Superior communication and leadership skills.
• Self-motivated, organized, pro-active, requires little hands-on supervision.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure our employment practices are proper and well-understood within the company and to ensure compliance with regional legal requirements.
• Drafting and maintaining numerous employment related policies that are required for global operations, including ethics, anti-corruption, anti-harassment and others.
• Supporting the human resources team through operational guidance and process training.
• Staying informed on employment and labor law issues affecting Talkdesk in our geographies.
• Balancing competing priorities of various constituencies.
