Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher completed and verified prior to start.
• 7 years of experience in Automotive/Commercial vehicle, emissions, aftertreatment, engine systems, powertrain, or related markets.
• Experience in strategic account management, business development or technical sales.
• Experience in specification-driven sales environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary commercial owner for global emissions and aftertreatment accounts, driving revenue and market expansion.
• Build strategic relationships with engineering, procurement, quality, manufacturing and executives.
• Protect existing business while identifying opportunities for cross-selling and new programs.
• Maintain a qualified opportunity pipeline and manage opportunities in Salesforce.
• Collaborate with Product Strategy, Application Engineering, Manufacturing and Operations for trials and commercialization.
• Provide market intelligence and competitive perspectives to shape growth priorities.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and pricing, supporting long-term supply agreements.

Global Emissions Sales Leader

This individual contributor role serves as the primary commercial owner for the emissions market segment, with an initial focus on a key customer and key industry suppliers.

The role will identify growth opportunities, develop customer and market strategies, build a qualified opportunity pipeline, and expand 3M participation across existing and emerging emissions applications. The successful candidate will combine strong commercial acumen, technical aptitude, customer relationship skills, and the ability to grow business in complex industrial environments .

• Serving as the primary commercial owner for key global emissions and aftertreatment accounts, developing and executing growth strategies to drive revenue and market expansion.
• Build strategic relationships with engineering, procurement, quality, manufacturing, and executive stakeholders.
• Protect existing business while identifying opportunities for application expansion, cross-selling, and new program growth.
• Create and maintain a qualified opportunity pipeline and accurate opportunity management within Salesforce.
• Partner with Product Strategy, Application Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to support customer trials, specifications, and commercialization activities.
• Provide customer insights, market intelligence, and competitive perspectives to help shape portfolio and growth priorities.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and pricing strategies and support long-term supply agreements and customer contracts.

Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start).

Seven (7) years of experience in Automotive/Commercial vehicle, emissions, aftertreatment, engine systems, powertrain, industrial markets, strategic account management, business development, or technical sales in a private, public, government, or military environment.

• Demonstrated experience managing strategic customer relationships and developing new business opportunities.
• Demonstrated success identifying, developing, and commercializing growth opportunities.
• Experience working in specification-driven sales environments.
• Experience working effectively across product, application engineering, manufacturing, operations, and commercial teams.
• Strong account management, relationship-building, strategic thinking, and independent business development skills.

Remote in Michigan.

Travel: May include up to 40% domestic and international

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $164,612 - $201,193, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
