Job summary

Afognak Native Corporation seeks an experienced Elevator Inspector to conduct global safety inspections of vertical transportation equipment for US diplomatic facilities abroad. The role requires travel, code knowledge, and the ability to explain complex requirements to diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities include coordinating inspections, witnessing tests, and delivering detailed reports with deficiencies and recommended solutions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Full-time experience performing code compliance inspections of vertical transportation equipment.
• QEI certification (ASME QEI-1) and maintenance of credentials through contract period.

Responsibilities

• Work with local resources to accomplish vertical transportation inspection and testing.
• Travel globally to conduct elevator safety inspections and witness safety testing.
• Witness testing of elevator safety components for compliance with codes and directives.
• Conduct final acceptance inspections on new or modernized systems.
• Provide detailed inspection reports with findings and recommendations.
• Provide technical assistance to Facility Managers and Post POC on testing requirements.
