Job summary

Google is seeking a Global EHS Design and Readiness Manager to lead complex office construction and workplace design initiatives within the EHS Center of Excellence. You will define technical EHS requirements with internal partners, guiding projects from concept through handover and coordinating with Real Estate and Workplace Services to implement a comprehensive workplace strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• 10 years of experience in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) design, engineering, or risk-management programs within construction, corporate real estate, or industrial environments.
• Knowledge of Facilities Management and workplace operations.
• Strong background in Safety, Mechanical, Electrical, or Fire and Life Safety engineering for complex facilities.
• Strong investigative and data quality troubleshooting skills; able to analyze large data sets and propose actions.
• Applied project management skills with ability to plan and execute projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, multi-disciplinary office construction and workplace design initiatives.
• Define EHS requirements with internal partners and steer projects through lifecycle from concept to handover.
• Develop tools, processes, and procedures to mitigate risks from a design/readiness perspective.
• Engage with Real Estate and Workplace Services, DEVCO, and broader EHS ecosystem to architect workplace strategy.
• Drive cross-functional accountability through design reviews, readiness inspections, and training.

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

10 years EHS experience in design, engineering, or risk-management

Facilities Management knowledge

Safety, Mechanical, Electrical, or Fire and Life Safety engineering
