Job summary

Jobtailor in New York, NY is seeking an experienced content leader to source, develop and publish colleague-centric stories across formats. You will drive global storytelling across priorities, performance, heritage and thought leadership with a social-first mindset.

You will own the editorial calendar, manage the day-to-day content pipeline, and develop analytics reports to continuously improve engagement. AI and emerging tech will be used to evolve ideation and content measurement.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience in content creation, editorial, journalism or communications at a large, global or publicly traded company, or within an established media organization
• Exceptional storytelling skills, with experience translating complex topics into clear, compelling narratives
• Excellent writing and editing ability
• Deep understanding of digital publishing, emerging social and content trends, and audience engagement strategies
• Experience creating social copy, short-form video, graphics, podcasts, and interactive content
• Creative, proactive mindset with a passion for fresh storytelling opportunities and new formats
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across functions, teams and time zones
• Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the United States

Responsibilities

• Source, develop and produce colleague-centric stories across multiple formats
• Keep the global audience informed and engaged around business priorities, performance, heritage, culture, and thought leadership
• Create engaging content balancing enterprise priorities with fresh storytelling and a social-first mindset
• Manage the editorial calendar across the internal communications ecosystem
• Manage the day-to-day content pipeline and publishing for the #CompanyNews Slack channel
• Develop analytics reports and share insights to improve content performance year over year
• Test emerging technologies, including AI, to evolve ideation, creation, personalization, and content measurement
• Partner with Corporate Affairs & Communications stakeholders to identify storytelling opportunities, align priorities, and ensure consistent messaging
