EPAM Systems, Inc. seeks a DynamoDB Engineer to lead a multi-region migration and establish disaster recovery for hyperscale NoSQL workloads.

You will design Global Tables, implement IaC with Terraform and AWS CDK, and collaborate with application teams to ensure sub-millisecond performance and robust operations. The role requires hands-on DynamoDB data modeling, global secondary index design, capacity planning, PITR, and proactive monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute multi-region DynamoDB migrations and DR setup across US regions.
• Model data schemas and access patterns for hyper-scale workloads with cross-region replication.
• Author production-grade Terraform configurations and AWS CDK modules for DynamoDB resources (tables, GSIs, capacity, PITR).
• Plan capacity and auto-scaling for tables and GSIs in cross-region scenarios.
• Implement cross-region backup strategies and validate PITR and recovery procedures.
• Establish CloudWatch alarms for replication lag, throttling, capacity usage, and GSI health; participate in DR drills.
