Job summary

Scanlan International, Inc. is seeking a Director, Supply Chain & Instrumentation Operations to lead global supply chain, instrument procurement, and repair operations. Based at our headquarters south of downtown St.

Paul, the on-site role reports to the COO and has 5+ direct reports, with occasional domestic and international travel. You will lead demand planning, supplier management, inventory planning, and logistics, shaping strategies to reduce costs, improve availability, and sustain

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership in supply chain, procurement, manufacturing operations.
• 5+ years of management experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience managing complex supplier relationships, contract negotiations, and outsourced manufacturing partners.
• Experience in demand planning, inventory and logistics optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead global supply chain operations including demand planning, purchasing, outsourced international manufacturing, supplier management, and inventory planning.
• Develop supply chain strategies to improve efficiency, optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, mitigate risk, and ensure reliable product availability.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, sales, marketing, quality, and other cross-functional teams to align supply chain activities with organizational objectives and growth initiatives.
• Establish and monitor KPIs, dashboards, and reporting to drive accountability and data-driven decisions.
• Direct procurement activities, including supplier selection, contract negotiation, strategic sourcing, and supplier performance management.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers and outsourced manufacturing partners to drive quality and reliability.
• Partner with suppliers to strengthen capabilities, ensure regulatory compliance, and support long-term viability of artisan businesses.
