The Director will work cross-functionally to ensure the successful integration and execution of these best practices while mentoring and coaching teams to enhance their capabilities and performance.
The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, strong leadership skills, and deep expertise in supply chain planning and logistics. Although this is not an operational role – but one focused on establishing a world-class framework that drives excellence across the organization – it is critical for this professional to have the ability to influence his operational peers to deploy and execute these processes consistently in their divisions.
Key Responsibilities

- Digitalization Strategy: propose a digital road map for the Supply Chain function (Planning & Logistics), working jointly with the business and IT teams to develop the business cases and the correct solution for each division.
- Coaching & Team Development: Mentor and coach regional and functional supply chain teams on how to implement and execute supply chain best practices. Provide ongoing support and guidance to help teams develop their skills and optimize their performance.
- Strategic Planning Support: Collaborate with senior leadership to align supply chain strategies with the company’s long-term business objectives. Ensure that processes are scalable and adaptable to support future growth and changing business needs.
- Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within supply chain and work with cross-functional teams to implement changes that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with departments such as procurement, operations, logistics, and IT to ensure the seamless execution of supply chain practices and processes across the organization.
- Training & Knowledge Sharing: Design and deliver training programs to increase supply chain capabilities across teams. Foster a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Performance Measurement: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain functions to measure the effectiveness of the supply chain agenda and the impact of best practices. Provide regular performance reviews and recommendations for improvement.
- Change Management: Lead change management efforts to ensure successful implementation of new processes, tools, and systems. Drive user adoption and resolve any challenges during the transition period.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM) is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in supply chain planning and logistics, with a focus on strategic leadership and process improvement.
- At least 10 years of experience in leading teams, particularly in a coaching or mentoring capacity.
- Proven success in building and deploying best practices in global organizations, especially in a non-operational leadership role.
- Skills:
- Deep understanding of supply chain planning methodologies, such as S&OP, demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, and capacity planning.
- Knowledge in the deployment of Key Performance metrics related to Customer Service, Costs and Cash/Inventory improvement.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with a focus on coaching and team development.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive change in a complex and dynamic environment.
- Advanced proficiency with SC planning software (e.g., SAP, Kinaxis o9, etc.) and MS Excel.
- Personal Attributes:
- Strategic thinker with the ability to see the big picture while focusing on operational execution.
- Strong collaborator who can build relationships across multiple functions and regions.
- Results-oriented with a passion for driving continuous improvement.
- High emotional intelligence with the ability to motivate and influence teams.
