Job summary

Amgen seeks a Director, Global Diagnostics Strategy Lead to shape global diagnostic strategies for assigned molecules, guiding clinical development, regulatory approval, launch, and lifecycle management of precision therapeutics.

The Dx group drives biomarker assay transitions into marketed diagnostics and oversees cross-functional collaboration, external partnerships, and strategic decision-making across a matrix of stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree and 4 years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostics, clinical development, or related experience; OR
• Master's degree and 8 years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostics, clinical development, or related experience; OR
• Bachelor's degree and 10 years of pharmaceutical, biotechnology, diagnostics, clinical development, or related experience; AND
• Direct experience developing and implementing diagnostic, companion diagnostic, or precision medicine strategies within a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or diagnostics setting.
• Advanced degree in biomedical sciences, medicine, diagnostics, molecular biology, oncology, or related discipline (Ph.D., M.D., Pharm.D., or equivalent).
• Excellent executive-level communication, presentation, facilitation, and decision-framing skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive diagnostic strategies for assigned drug development programs and portfolio priorities.
• Lead Dx Development Teams to ensure delivery of diagnostic development plans, milestones, timelines, risks, mitigations, and interdependencies.
• Partner with Product Teams and governance forums to align therapeutic and diagnostic development objectives.
• Oversee partner collaboration and external diagnostic partnerships to integrate development and launch strategies.
