Job summary

Sumitomo Electric U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a Procurement & Logistics Specialist to manage procurement, import/export activities, and ERP data accuracy. The role focuses on timely, cost-effective delivery of goods and requires collaboration with internal teams and suppliers.

You will coordinate POs, track shipments, ensure trade compliance, and optimize logistics while monitoring carrier performance and maintaining records in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in supply chain management, project management, inventory, or production management.
• Strong procurement and order management skills.
• Understanding of Incoterms and tariff classifications.
• Knowledge of customs requirements and trade compliance.
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage Purchase Orders (PO) using internal systems.
• Review and validate purchase requests for accuracy, pricing, and specifications.
• Coordinate import/export activities and ensure tariff classification compliance.
• Monitor order status, deliveries, and resolve discrepancies.
• Optimize shipping methods and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to resolve issues.
