Job Description Summary

As the Global Director of Data Management, Governance, and Master Data Management (MDM), you will lead Cushman & Wakefieldâs enterprise data governance strategy at the intersection of business and technology. This role is responsible not only for designing and implementing a comprehensive governance framework, but also for maintaining and evolving it to meet the needs of a dynamic, data-driven organization.

You will oversee the quality, integrity, and usability of critical data assetsâ”particularly property and client dataâ”while leading a global Center of Excellence (COE) for data governance. This position blends strategic vision with hands-on execution, requiring deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to collaborate across business lines and technology teams. Youâll be instrumental in embedding governance into the organizationâs data culture and enabling scalable, intelligent data practices that support global business objectives.---

Position Overview

The Global Director of Data Management, Governance, and Master Data Management (MDM) will operate at the intersection of business and technology, responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive data governance strategy. This role ensures adherence to governance frameworks, policies, and standards, while overseeing the ongoing quality, integrity, and usability of data assets across the organization. The director will lead the Global Data Governance Center of Excellence (COE) and serve as the primary point of contact for enterprise data management, quality, and governance.

This is a senior-level role that blends strategic leadership with hands-on execution. It requires a strong foundation in data governance and technical acumen, along with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across multiple departments. In addition to leading a team of professionals, the role is deeply embedded in cross-functional initiatives that shape how data is managed and leveraged across the organization.---

Key Responsibilities

1. Platform Ownership

· Lead the implementation and scaling of MDM and governance tools (e.g., Profisee, Purview, Azure, Salesforce, and other relevant platforms).

· Own the global MDM strategy for property and client data domains, ensuring consistency across various ecosystems.

2. Data Quality & Compliance

· Define and enforce global standards for data accuracy, privacy, and lineage.

· Implement robust metadata management practices to enhance data discovery, understanding, and utilization.

3. Business Partnership

· Collaborate with Advisory, Brokerage, and Investor teams to align data strategy with business goals.

· Partner with Product and Data Architects to implement data governance, security, and privacy frameworks.

4. Team Leadership

· Build and mentor a global team of data stewards and governance analysts.

· Develop effective communication and training programs to enhance data literacy and compliance.

5. Vendor & External Data Strategy

· Manage third-party data subscriptions and ensure integration with internal systems.

· Negotiate contracts with data vendors to secure favorable terms and ensure compliance with data governance policies.
