Job summary

Articore Group is seeking a Director of Data Engineering to unify four data-focused teams into one coherent strategy, standards, and voice. You will collaborate with a Melbourne-based Product Director for Data and report to the SVP of Engineering, steering delivery, people, and technology across data, analytics, and science functions.

You will build reliable pipelines, consolidate a group-wide data warehouse, and drive a plan to reduce technical debt while maintaining business velocity.

Qualifications

• 8+ years leading data organizations, including multi-team leadership.
• Experience consolidating data estates across multiple domains (martech, analytics, data science).
• Experience owning cloud data budgets and governance practices (GDPR/CCPA).

Responsibilities

• Define and execute a unified data strategy across four teams.
• Lead and develop engineering managers; set ownership and handoff practices.
• Drive technology direction, data governance, and privacy across the stack.
• Partner with executives across product, marketing, and analytics to align roadmaps.
