Job summary

Fluidstack is building out a global spare parts sourcing program for datacenter equipment to prevent downtime and accelerate deployment. You will qualify suppliers, set stocking levels, and negotiate terms to keep critical parts on site. You will work with reliability and operations to forecast demand and keep an up-to-date parts catalog.

The role emphasizes end-to-end ownership, rapid execution, and an obsession with uptime in a frontier compute infrastructure context.

Qualifications

• Experience building a spare parts or MRO sourcing program for capital equipment where downtime carried a real cost.
• Ability to qualify and dual-source suppliers across multiple equipment categories and bring a second source online quickly.
• Experience negotiating consignment, vendor-managed inventory, or stocking agreements to have parts on site before demand.
• Ability to tie spares inventory decisions to failure data, criticality tiers, and lead times.

Responsibilities

• Build the global spares sourcing program for critical datacenter equipment (chillers, CDUs, switchgear, generators, pumps).
• Qualify and dual-source spare parts suppliers; set min/max stocking and reorder points.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and on-site availability to prevent downtime.
• Set stocking strategy across sites and regional depots to avoid idle compute.
• Forecast spare demand with reliability and site operations; keep parts catalog current.
