Job summary

Samtec, a global manufacturer, is seeking a Customer Quality Engineer in Colorado Springs. You will investigate customer quality problems, define root causes, and implement corrective actions, while communicating containment progress to customers.

Travel may be required to coordinate with global teams and suppliers. Requires a minimum of 3 years in customer quality engineering and experience with ISO 9001 processes; a two-year technical degree is favored, with a bachelor’s in engineering

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience in a customer quality engineering role.
• Experience in product, process, or tooling design, development, failure analysis or customer application review.
• ISO 9001 compliance and internal/external auditing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer concerns and ensure timely resolution.
• Establish containment, root cause, and corrective actions with other departments.
• Interact with customers via phone, email, or other channels to resolve quality issues.
• Coordinate with customers, Samtec associates, and third parties globally; travel may be required.
• Write corrective action reports based on defined due dates.
• Educate other groups on inspection, rework or new processing details.
• Provide backup within the Customer Quality Department.
• Provide input to engineering on quality history to improve designs.
• Adhere to quality system guidelines, procedures and work instructions.
