Job summary

Arclin is seeking a seasoned Global Credit Manager to lead enterprise-wide credit, collections, and A/R risk management across a multi-entity, global organization. You will optimize cash flow, maintain SOX controls, and partner with Sales, Finance, Treasury, and Shared Services to balance growth with disciplined risk management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or professional certification preferred.
  • 10+ years in credit, collections, or A/R in a global organization.
  • Public company/SOX-regulated environment experience preferred.
  • Hands-on SAP S/4HANA (FI/AR, Credit Management) experience.
  • Experience in multi-ERP environments and system integrations.

Position Summary

The Global Credit Manager is responsible for leading the enterprise-wide credit, collections, and accounts receivable (A/R) risk management function across a multi-entity, global organization. This role ensures the effective extension of credit, optimization of cash flow, and mitigation of credit risk, while maintaining strict compliance with SOX controls and audit requirements.

The position operates in a complex, multi-ERP environment, including SAP S/4HANA and legacy systems, and serves as a key business partner to Sales, Finance, Treasury, and Shared Services to balance revenue growth with disciplined risk management.

Key Responsibilities

Credit Strategy & Risk Management

  • Develop and execute a global credit policy framework aligned with corporate risk tolerance, liquidity objectives, and growth strategy.
  • Establish and enforce standardized credit risk assessment methodologies, including financial analysis, external credit data, and behavioral payment analytics.
  • Approve and monitor customer credit limits, payment terms, and risk exposures across all regions and entities.
  • Implement proactive risk monitoring tools and early-warning indicators to identify deteriorating customer financial health.
  • Partner with Sales and Commercial teams to evaluate risk-reward tradeoffs for strategic customers.

Accounts Receivable Management

  • Advise on global collections strategy, ensuring timely resolution of overdue receivables and reduction of Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
  • Partner with shared services on execution of escalation processes, including collections prioritization, dispute resolution, and order blocking.
  • Ensure consistent A/R processes including cash application, dispute management, and credit holds across all regions.
  • Monitor aging trends, delinquency patterns, and portfolio performance, and implement corrective action plans as needed.
  • Lead forecasting inputs related to collections and bad debt reserves.

SOX Compliance, Controls & Audit

  • Design, document, and maintain robust SOX-compliant internal controls for credit approval, collections, and A/R accounting processes.
  • Ensure adherence to key controls including credit limit approvals, segregation of duties, write-off authorizations, and cash application accuracy.
  • Partner with Internal Audit and external auditors to support audits, testing, and remediation efforts.
  • Drive continuous improvement of control effectiveness and automation of credit processes.
  • Maintain documentation and audit trails to support public company readiness.

ERP Systems & Process Integration (SAP S/4HANA + Multi-ERP)

  • Serve as the business owner for credit and A/R processes within SAP S/4HANA and related systems.
  • Ensure consistent global design and governance of credit management functionality across SAP FI/AR modules.
  • Manage integration of credit and collections processes across multiple ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Business Central, etc.) to ensure data consistency and process standardization.
  • Partner with IT to implement system enhancements, automation tools, and credit management platforms.
  • Support ERP transformation initiatives, including migration to SAP S/4HANA and harmonization of global credit processes.

Reporting, Analytics & Performance Management

  • Develop and distribute global credit and A/R reporting, including DSO, aging, bad debt, and credit exposure metrics.
  • Establish KPIs, dashboards, and scorecards to monitor credit performance and drive accountability across regions.
  • Leverage data analytics to identify trends, optimize customer segmentation, and improve decision-making.
  • Provide executive-level insights into credit risk, working capital, and cash flow performance.

Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Collaborate with:
  • Sales & Commercial teams to support customer onboarding and pricing decisions
  • Treasury to align credit strategy with liquidity and cash forecasting
  • Accounting to ensure accurate A/R reporting and provisioning
  • Customer Service to resolve disputes and improve customer experience
  • Act as a key stakeholder in M&A integration, ensuring newly acquired entities adopt global credit policies and systems.

Global Process Leadership & Transformation

  • Standardize and optimize credit and collections processes across all geographies and business units.
  • Lead automation initiatives (e.g., credit scoring tools, collections workflow automation, dispute management platforms).
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, data-driven decision-making, and strong governance.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA or professional certification preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in credit, collections, or A/R management within a global organization.
  • Experience operating in a public company or SOX-regulated environment strongly preferred.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA (FI/AR, Credit Management modules).
  • Experience working in multi-ERP environments and leading system integrations or transformations.
  • Knowledge of credit management platforms (e.g., BlackLine, HighRadius, or similar) preferred.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities (Excel, BI tools, dashboards).
  • Deep understanding of global credit risk management, accounts receivable lifecycle and collections strategies, SOX controls, internal audit, and compliance frameworks, working capital optimization and cash flow management
  • Strong leadership and team development skills in a global, matrixed environment.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and balance commercial objectives with risk discipline.
  • Process-oriented mindset with a focus on standardization and control.
  • Excellent communication skills, including executive-level reporting and presentations.
  • Proven ability to lead transformation initiatives and drive operational excellence.
