Job summary

• Advanced knowledge of federal, state, local, and international tax regulations.
• Proficiency in U.S. GAAP, ASC 740, tax accounting, and statutory compliance.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

• Excellent written, interpersonal, presentation, and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the preparation, primary and secondary review, and filing of complex federal, state, local, and international income tax returns, including consolidated corporate, partnership, S-Corporation, and combined state returns.
• Oversee quarterly and annual tax provision activities in accordance with U.S. GAAP and ASC 740.
• Ensure compliance with income, sales and use, property, payroll, and other indirect tax requirements.
• Manage external tax firms and advisors, including scope, deliverables, deadlines, quality, and budget.
• Plan, execute, and complete tax projects while providing tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to executives.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, evaluate impact, and recommend actions.
• Manage tax audits and inquiries from federal, state, local, and international authorities.
• Oversee transfer pricing documentation and intercompany tax matters.
• Partner with Finance, Accounting, Payroll, Treasury, Legal, HR, and leadership on tax matters.
• Support mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and other strategic transactions by identifying tax implications.
• Develop and maintain tax policies, procedures, internal controls, and supporting docs.
• Evaluate and implement tax software, automation, and technology solutions.
• Communicate proactively with leadership, manage expectations, and lead change.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
