Job summary

Kemin Industries is seeking a Corporate Attorney to join our legal team in the United States. The role supports corporate law, IP, and regulatory requirements for Kemin and its business units worldwide, including product registrations and regulatory dossiers.

The position is onsite in the US, with a broad remit across domestic and international regulatory matters, contracts, and strategic legal initiatives. A JD with bar admission is required, with up to 7 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with JD and bar admission required.
• Up to 7 years of relevant legal experience.
• Ability to conduct regulatory research and articulate ideas to help the business grow.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and drafting abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in regulatory dossiers, contract drafting and freedom to operate requirements.
• Team player willing to support other attorneys as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance in corporate legal matters (regulatory and non-regulatory).
• Advise and prepare product registration notices, filings, and maintenance.
• Global regulatory dossier creation and support for human and animal ingredient approvals and registrations.
• Analyze compliance of ingredient and IP requirements; research domestic and international regulatory matters.
• Advise management on legal rights and other phases of business law.
• Conduct legal review of scientific communications and publications.
• Draft and review contracts including IP transactions, NDAs, manufacturing and consulting agreements.
• Assist in negotiating and structuring contractual documents with vendors, customers, partners.
• Oversee document acquisition, digital storage, permit acquisition, and maintenance.
• Develop dossiers and communicate with governmental agencies; provide regulatory advice to other departments.
• Participate in strategic plans and special projects as assigned.
