Job summary

Bitdeer Technologies Group in the United States (San Jose) is seeking a backend software engineer to build and scale the control plane powering multi-region, multi-tenant SaaS workloads. You’ll design tenant management, billing, quota, and API surfaces, and collaborate with frontend teams to deliver integrated cloud workspace experiences.

The role emphasizes robust, distributed systems, strong Go/Java/Python skills, and depth in RBAC/OAuth/OIDC security, with opportunities to shape cross-region

Qualifications

• Experience building backend services / control planes for multi-tenant SaaS.
• Strong API design and distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience with multi-region deployments and cloud control planes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and build control-plane services: tenant management, quota, metering/billing, ticketing, RBAC/permissions, and portal/API.
• Architect global vs regional control-plane split and cross-region consistency.
• Build self-service onboarding and automation to reduce manual steps.
• Ensure billing/metering correctness and auditability.
• Develop tooling for detection, isolation, and recovery to improve stability.
• Collaborate with Compute to develop region-aware scheduling/placement.
