Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC in Palo Alto seeks a Manager of Construction to lead a technical team in designing and building office spaces globally. You will work with executives and own projects from start to finish, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and customer satisfaction.

You will manage engineers, designers and contractors, coordinate workloads, forecast issues, and drive process improvements across all projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of direct and indirect reports within the construction team, including but not limited to construction project engineers, MEP engineers, designers, architects, and other individuals supporting construction projects
• Coordinate workload for individuals and steer prioritization
• Forecast and respond to construction project issues and escalations
• Interface with senior leaders (VP/executive) and provide construction updates
• Improve process planning by which construction projects are formulated, priced, approved, executed, and reviewed; implement full lifecycle improvements with the goal of providing on-time and under budget delivery with customer satisfaction
• Perform construction project management responsibilities as follows:
• Manage tools and folder systems relating to the organization of our construction projects
• Meet with end users/customers to establish scope of work
• Provide budgetary cost based upon the preliminary scope of the project
• Gather proposals from architects, engineers and contractors, and assign contracts upon receipt of all proposals
• Develop the final cost and schedule for the project, and implement controls as needed to manage cost, schedule and scope
• Facilitate city, county, governmental, and landlord approvals as applicable
