Job summary

VulcanForms Inc. in Massachusetts is seeking a Global Category Manager for Construction & Facilities to lead sourcing strategy, contract management, and supplier relationships for capital and operating spend related to built environment.

Reporting to the VP of Supply Chain, you will drive multi-year category strategies, manage GC/MEP contracts, lead bid events, and maintain risk, cost, and schedule KPI performance across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or Supply Chain preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive procurement, project management, or construction management experience, with at least 5 years in leadership.
• Experience leading sourcing and contracting for major capital construction projects ($10M+).
• Knowledge of construction contracts (AIA, NEC), MEP systems, and utility procurement.
• Strong ability to manage multiple capital projects with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-year category strategy for construction, facilities infra, MEP, utilities, and site/civil work.
• Lead negotiations and contract execution for GC, MEP subcontractors, and utilities vendors.
• Define bid packages, run sourcing events, and manage contracts from award to closeout.
• Maintain risk registers and monitor cost, schedule, safety, and quality KPIs.
• Develop should-cost models and conduct cost reviews of GC estimates.
• Support site expansion: ramping facilities, site prep, utilities, and building systems.
• Collaborate with Legal and Finance on permitting, incentives, and development.
• Deliver annual savings/value roadmap; report milestones to VP Supply Chain.
