Smardt Inc. seeks a Global Category Manager to exclusively manage our critical compressor supplier. You will act as chief negotiator and crisis lead, ensuring preferential capacity and pricing, while coordinating globally across NA, EMEA, and APAC.

You will lead rapid response protocols for critical quality issues, manage liability negotiations, and drive continuous improvement with the supplier to protect production and field operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HVAC or mechanical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive supply chain experience, including category management, strategic sourcing.
• Experience managing global suppliers and complex supply chains.
• HVAC industry background preferred, basic understanding of compressor technology.

Responsibilities

• Exclusive account management: Serve as the sole global point of contact for our most strategic compressor supplier.
• Capacity securement: Lead high-impact negotiations to secure preferential capacity allocation.
• Commercial optimization: Drive annual pricing negotiations and global agreement renewal.
• Rapid CQI response and liability management with the supplier to ensure containment and root cause analysis.
• Regional coordination across NA, EMEA, and APAC with regular syncs and unified supplier front.
