Job summary

Dolby seeks a dynamic social media specialist to lead real-time community engagement across our global platforms from California. You will identify cultural moments, tailor responses, and manage inbound interactions while coordinating with agencies to measure KPIs.

The role requires adapting messaging for diverse audiences, supporting live events across time zones, and driving strategy to grow Dolby’s brand communities online.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in social media, community management, or related field.
• Experience with entertainment, technology, sports, media, or consumer brands preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing brand communities across multiple platforms; real-time event coverage is a plus.
• Strong understanding of social listening tools and platform analytics.
• Experience launching or growing social media communities or channels is a plus.
• Excellent written communication and ability to adapt messaging for different platforms.
• Ability to support global events outside standard business hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead real-time community engagement across Dolby’s global social platforms.
• Proactively engage in conversations in entertainment, sports, film, gaming, and technology.
• Identify cultural moments and engage in platform-appropriate ways.
• Manage inbound comments, DMs, and mentions; escalate when needed.
• Develop and maintain community engagement playbooks and response frameworks.
• Partner with agencies to define and track community KPIs.
• Collaborate with global agency partners to improve programs and processes.
• Experience with Reddit and Discord is a plus.
