Position Title : Global Communications Lead
Location : NJ, NY, or MA preferred
Reports To : Global Chief Transformation Officer
Position Overview :
The Global Communications Lead is a dynamic and hands-on role responsible for shaping and delivering IVIRMA’s global communications strategy. This individual will partner closely with regional marketing and human resources leaders, clinical and business stakeholders, and executive leadership to craft compelling, consistent messaging across external and internal channels. This role blends high-level strategy with day-to-day execution : from ghostwriting leadership communications and managing global social media content to crafting sensitive regulatory updates and coordinating with local agencies. The ideal candidate is a strong writer and content creator who thrives on translating complex information into clear, engaging messages—and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves. They will serve as a key connector across regions, helping to ensure our communications reflect global consistency, local relevance, and IVIRMA’s voice as a leader in reproductive medicine.
Responsibilities :
- Strategic Communication Planning :
- Facilitate development of a global communications strategy and annual roadmap in partnership with management teams and regional marketing leaders.
- Define messaging priorities, key themes, and organizational sentiments to cultivate across markets.
- Monitor and adapt communication strategies in response to regulatory shifts, market trends, and leadership priorities.
Message Development and Management :
- Maintain a “message house” that articulates IVIRMA’s positions by audience and topic—including sensitive issues at global and local levels.
- Ensure message consistency globally, while enabling tailored regional application and cultural nuance.
- Guide leadership on communications related to regulatory change, policy risk, and clinical advancement.
Content Creation and Asset Development :
- Write and edit key corporate communications : leadership announcements, strategic updates, M&A news, partnerships, and policy positions.
- Partner with business and clinical leaders to elevate communications assets : innovations, outcomes, and patient priorities.
- Create and support “news-worthy moments” to reinforce IVIRMA’s thought leadership and clinical excellence.
Social Media and Digital Content :
- Plan, develop, and publish content for IVIRMA’s global LinkedIn and Instagram accounts.
- Manage and support a global spokesperson program on LinkedIn, including executive presence and profile building.
- Track performance and adjust social strategies to drive visibility and engagement.
Internal Communications and Engagement :
- Lead development of internal communications content : newsletters, intranet updates, and organizational campaigns.
- Support global rollout of cultural initiatives tied to IVIRMA’s purpose, values, and strategy.
- Organize global town halls and internal events, including content development and messaging alignment.
Stakeholder and Agency Coordination :
- Collaborate with local and regional teams to ensure aligned communications planning and execution.
- Coordinate with agencies and vendors on public affairs, media outreach, and crisis response.
- Conduct ongoing risk monitoring—legal, regulatory, reputational—and contribute to proactive communications planning.
Impact and Measurement :
- Define and track communications KPIs; report on impact and engagement.
- Use insights to iterate and improve communications effectiveness across platforms and audiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or a related field.
- 6–10 years of experience in corporate communications or strategic content roles, ideally in healthcare or highly regulated industries.
- Demonstrated ability to create high-quality, executive-level content with speed and precision.
- Experience managing global social channels and internal communications.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and cross-culturally, with sensitivity to local market dynamics.
- Strong project management and vendor coordination skills.
- Fluent in English and Spanish. - Highly preferred
- Knowledge of Italian is a plus.
