Job summary

Amazon in Seattle seeks a Senior Global Commodity Manager to lead a team of managers, shaping supplier strategies across multiple categories. You will guide sourcing strategy development, drive execution, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to maximize value and minimize risk.

You will work with Legal, Tax, Risk, and InfoSec, leveraging RFx processes and cost models to optimize total cost of ownership while ensuring regulatory and export control compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of program or project management experience.
• 5+ years of supply chain management, planning, strategic sourcing or commodity management experience.

Responsibilities

• Earn trust with internal business partners; establish enduring relationships and understand priorities across suppliers and spend categories.
• Develop global sourcing strategies to deliver against business plans and objectives for internal clients.
• Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using cost models and benchmarking analyses to inform strategy development.
• Drive results by leveraging RFx, spend pattern analysis, contract analysis, bid evaluation, negotiations, and supplier consolidation.
• Collaborate with business and finance leaders to identify and drive savings and total cost of ownership improvements.
• Engage Legal, Tax, Risk, and Information Security to mitigate third party risk and develop mitigations.
