Job summary

Castleton Commodities International (CCI) in Stamford, CT, invites applicants to join its Commercial Rotational Analyst Program. The two-year program begins with onboarding and a 6-month rotation on a physical trading desk, followed by another 6-month rotation on a financial desk or with the Risk team, with potential for up to four rotations and a permanent placement.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Master's in Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, Statistics, Business, Economics, Energy, Computer Science, Physics or related field.
• Expected graduation date in Spring 2027.
• Prior internship/exposure to commodities markets or financial institutions preferred.
• Strong analytical/technical skills in Python, SQL; interview may review Python and SQL.
• Superior communication skills and ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze markets to identify trading opportunities and assess risks.
• Design models to analyze data, fundamentals and price forecasts.
• Conduct research and statistical studies on risk factors.
• Identify market trends and discontinuities in pricing.
• Develop trade ideas and execute with risk controls; back-test strategies.
• Review research on recent energy market developments.
• Collaborate with external consultancies and internal research teams.
