Job summary

Bank of America’s GFICCO commodities team in Houston seeks a Trade Control Analyst to support end-to-end trade control, confirmations and settlements. You will reconcile trades, amend bookings, and resolve breaks while assisting more experienced teammates in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 4–5 years in commodities or middle office, a keen eye for detail, strong communication, and the ability to work under tight deadlines. Collaborative mindset and risk awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years Commodities experience.
• 4-5 years of line work experience in Middle Office or Trade Control.
• Keen desire for learning and intellectual curiosity.
• Detail oriented.
• Good controls mind set and risk appetite.
• Experience working to tight deadlines.
• Good communication and negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of seniority.
• Excellent organizational skills are required with the ability to priorities daily workload whilst working accurately in a high-energy environment.
• Keen analytical skills including data reconciliation and interpretation.
• Logical approach to problem solving - taking ownership and offering practical solutions.
• Has a full understanding of lifecycle of a trade.

Responsibilities

• Trade Validation – reconciling trades to ensure trades are booked accurately in the system.
• Performing trade amendments to correct booking errors.
• Investigating and resolving breaks – Working closely with Sales, Trading and Operations to resolve breaks.
• Work on ad-hoc request
