Job summary

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Global Command Center Operator in Lisle, IL. This full-time, 3rd shift role runs Thursday–Friday nights and alternating Wednesdays, with a competitive $21/hour wage.

You will monitor high-tech security systems, document incidents, and respond to threats while supporting a broad security operations function. The position requires IL PERC, work authorization in the U.S., and often a bachelor’s degree; police or military background is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid IL PERC.
• Previous Command Center Experience preferred.
• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED.
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills.
• Strong proficiency with technology.
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
• You have a state license if required.

Responsibilities

• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.

As a Security Officer - Surveillance, you will be the person spotting threats before they elevate in environments such as a security operations centers, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc.

• Site Location: Lisle, IL
• Set schedule: Full time, Thursday and Friday, 3rd shift, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 3rd shift, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and every other Wednesday, 3rd shift, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.

• Must be able to multi task
• Comfortable in a high-tech work environment; the ideal candidate can keep pace with an environment where there's constant learning of new mechanisms, applications, and tools.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and working under pressure.
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively.
• Aptitude for clear and effective written/verbal directions and clarifying information under time-sensitive conditions.
• Ability to establish priorities, multi-task, work independently, and complete objectives in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
