GardaWorld Security is seeking a Surveillance Security Guard in Lisle, IL to monitor and report on security systems within a high-tech environment.

You will patrol, control access, document incidents, and collaborate with law enforcement as needed. The role offers a full-time 3rd shift schedule, competitive pay at $21/hour, comprehensive benefits, and uniform provided.

Prior experience in command center environments preferred; must have valid IL PERC and be authorized to work in the U.S.

As a Security Officer – Surveillance, you will be the person spotting threats before they upgrade in environments such as a security operations centers, call centers, parking gatehouses, etc.

• Site Location: Lisle, IL
• Set schedule: Full time, Thursday and Friday, 3rd shift, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 3rd shift, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and every other Wednesday, 3rd shift, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m.
• Competitive hourly wage of $21/ hour (DailyPay is available for GardaWorld employees!)

Responsibilities of Surveillance Security Guard

• Must be able to multi task
• Comfortable in a high-tech work environment; the ideal candidate can keep pace with an environment where there's constant learning of new mechanisms, applications, and tools.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and working under pressure.
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively.
• Aptitude for clear and effective written/verbal directions and clarifying information under time-sensitive conditions.
• Ability to establish priorities, multi-task, work independently, and complete objectives in a fast‑paced and demanding work environment.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity
• Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of the premises
• Control access to secure areas and verify the identities of visitors
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions
• Collaborate with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property

Qualifications of a Surveillance Security Guard

• Must have a valid IL PERC
• Previous Command Center Experience preferred
• Strongly prefer a Bachelors Degree
• Be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Be able to provide documentation of High School Diploma or GED
• Be able to ace (and pass) an extensive screening process
• Strong report writing skills
• Sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills
• Strong proficiency with technology
• If you have Security, Military, Law Enforcement experience – even better!
• You have a state license if required
