Job summary

Rubrik is seeking a Global Solutions Architect to define the architectural direction for public cloud and lead the most strategic, high-risk engagements worldwide. This senior, individual-contributor role requires deep cloud expertise across AWS, Azure, and GCP and a proven track record of delivering enterprise-scale data protection and security architectures.

You will shape Rubrik PS offerings, mentor architects, and drive reusable IP while collaborating with Sales, Product, and Engineering.

Qualifications

• 15+ years overall experience, including 8+ years as a hands-on cloud architect at enterprise scale.
• Ownership of architecture for multi-region, multi-account cloud estates in large enterprise or consulting context.
• Expert-level AWS and Azure; GCP depth; compute, storage, networking, identity, and encryption.
• Deep understanding of enterprise data protection and cyber resilience—RTO/RPO, immutability, backup/recovery design.
• Working fluency in cloud security and compliance frameworks for regulated industries.
• Strong automation background—IaC, scripting, API-first integration, and CI/CD.
• Track record of influence without authority across a global organization and time zones.
• Executive-grade communication—credible with CIOs and principal engineers.
• Evidence of building reusable technical IP beyond individual projects.
• Ability to learn a complex new platform quickly; prior Rubrik experience not required.
• Occasional travel.

Responsibilities

• Own the global cloud architecture standard for Rubrik Professional Services—reference architectures, design patterns, guardrails, anti-patterns.
• Act as final technical escalation point for cloud architecture decisions on strategic engagements worldwide.
• Define the technical shape of Rubrik's cloud service offerings: what we sell, how it’s scoped, and what good delivery looks like.
• Establish Rubrik PS’s position on emerging cloud capabilities and translate to deployment guidance.
• Own architecture and design on the most complex, high-visibility engagements globally—multi-region, multi-cloud, multi-regulator estates.
• Serve as trusted advisor to customer CIO/CTO/Chief Architect/CISO; defend design decisions with ARBs.
• Partner with Sales on strategic pursuits: technical validation, level of effort, and risk assessment.
• Lead briefings and multi-day design workshops on site and remotely.
• Build IP: reference architectures, deployment automation, templates, decision trees, accelerators.
• Mentor and develop Solutions Architects and senior consultants across theatres; raise the practice ceiling.
• Define competency standards and enablement for cloud within Professional Services; help set hiring bar.
• Represent Rubrik PS at conferences, customer advisory boards, and in technical material.
• Influence Product Management and Engineering with field evidence; shape roadmap priorities.
