Qualifications

• 12+ years of directly-related or relevant experience.
• 8+ years in a managerial capacity, preferably in information security.
• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, CS, info security, or equivalent.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Certifications like CCSP/CISSP/CISM are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the enterprise cloud security strategy aligned to corporate risk appetite and regulatory requirements.
• Establish cloud security reference architectures, guardrails, and design patterns.
• Lead cloud security governance across AWS, Azure, GCP, and strategic SaaS providers.
• Own cloud security policy framework and control standards (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, HITRUST, PCI, HIPAA).
• Present cloud risk posture and roadmap to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
• Landing zones and platform engineering, IAM (zero trust), network security, encryption, Kubernetes security, API security.
• Establish secure-by-design and DevSecOps integration models with engineering teams.
• Drive an automation-first IaC and policy-as-code strategy.
• Oversee and partner with CSPM, CWPP, CNAPP, DSPM, SSPM.
• Drive alignment with CIEM, CASB, SSE with engineering and delivery leaders.
• Partner with SOC for cloud threat detection and response integration.
• Oversee cloud logging, telemetry, and SIEM/SOAR integration.
• Create and test cloud incident response playbooks.
• Vulnerability management and misconfiguration remediation pipelines with risk stakeholders.
• Track and reduce enterprise cloud risk metrics.
• Secure multi-cloud architectures across AWS, Azure, GCP.
• Ensure control parity across on-prem, private cloud, and SaaS.
• Support M&A integrations with cloud security assessments and rapid control deployment.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, SOX, FDA/GxP where applicable.
• Enable audit readiness and continuous control monitoring.
• Collaborate with Legal on data residency and cross-border cloud risks.
• Build and lead a global cloud security team.
• Develop succession planning and career paths.
• Establish KPIs, OKRs, and performance dashboards.
• Finance and budgeting experience for cloud security.
• Collaborate with platform engineering, SRE, and DevOps teams.
• Stay ahead of information security trends and advise leadership.
