Job summary

Leica Biosystems, a Danaher operating company, seeks a Sr. Manager, Clinical Science (Global - Remote) to oversee international clinical trial strategies across Danaher Diagnostics.

You will lead a team of clinical scientists, drive study designs, ensure regulatory compliance, and achieve milestones for critical studies in key markets. The role is remote with global scope, reporting to the Leica Biosystems organization; you will collaborate with R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, and QA

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or related field with 12+ years in clinical research.
• 4+ years direct leadership experience, including managing clinical research scientists.
• In-depth understanding of clinical study design and methodology in diagnostics, medical device, or pharmaceutical industries for US/EU markets.
• Ability to identify and solve complex issues in clinical trial conduct and scientific interpretation.
• Ability to critically review and interpret scientific/clinical trial data; oversee study protocols and reports.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills for managing a team and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee scientific planning and design of clinical studies for Digital Pathology, IHC & ISH, CDx, and Medical Device.
• Ensure scientific rigor and accuracy of protocols, CRFs, study reports, and documentation.
• Serve as scientific liaison with R&D, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and other teams.
• Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs to support regulatory submissions; interpret clinical data.
• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team of clinical scientists.
• Maintain relationships with internal cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure program execution.
• Manage analysis and interpretation of study data; contribute to regulatory submissions and publications.
